Deborah Lippmann Takes To Twitter To Talk About Nail Polish
It’s not often that women are able to get advice directly from industry experts, but those who want top tips about caring for their nails are in luck – nail guru Deborah Lippmann recently sat down with StyleList.com to answer some questions live on Twitter.
“Dry cuticles can be the [bane] of our existence,” Lippmann said in response to a tweet about cuticle pain. “Do not cut them. Apply cuticle remover to entire cuticle and push back. If there is any hanging skin after a good ‘pushing,’ you can nip with a cuticle nipper then hydrate with cuticle oil.”
Lippmann Collection Cuticle Oil Treatment conditions dry skin that surrounds nail beds, and even boasts a light coconut scent.
The celebrity manicurist, who revealed that she gets her inspiration from the fashion world, trends, her customers and nature, also hinted at the types of hues fans can expect to see in her spring 2011 nail polish collection.
“My spring shades are soft and one has my signature glitter,” Lippmann added. “I used them at Badgley Mischka and Narciso Rodriguez during New York Fashion Week.”
I love Glitter nail polish especially Deborah Lippmann glitters. There is so much glitter packed in each bottle and the polish dries so shiny on its own that it does not even really need a top coat. It stays on so well, a little too well but thank goodness for the foil removal technique otherwise I do not know what I would do.
