Many women feel like the camera is their enemy. Oftentimes, it can make you look bigger, duller or shinier than you really are, effectively ruining all chances of taking a cute picture. If this sounds like something you can relate to, not to worry. Cosmopolitan magazine has a few ways you can use makeup to fool the lens.

Start with a light-reflecting primer. It will help your foundation glide on easily and will give you a dewy, not shiny glow in the photograph. Not to mention, those little imperfections like large pores and blemishes will be concealed.

Next, wear both blush and bronzer. You need both to avoid looking flat in the photo, reports the news source. Use a bronzer on your cheekbones, then apply a blush to the apples of your cheeks.

Finally, right before the picture, use an oil-blotting sheet instead of powder to get rid of any excess shine. Powder can make your face look lackluster.
