Metallic smokey eyes are nothing new – bronze, gold, silver and copper versions have been showing up on the eyes of women everywhere for a while. However, a new trend that Glamour magazine spotted on Elizabeth Banks features a selection of shiny shades used together to create a chic  mixed metals look.

Start off by using a black eyeliner on the inner rims of your lids and right above your upper lash line. Sothys – Waterproof Soft Eye is a great choice that will blend easily and make the look pretty and feminine.

Next, use a bronze eyeshadow to cover your entire lid, focusing a bit more on the outer edges. Follow up with a copper eyeshadow in your crease, blending it slightly above so it’s visible when your eyes are open. Lastly, dust a light gold shadow on your inner corners. With a touch of mascara, you’ll have an edgy, smoldering gaze that’s perfect for a night out on the town.
