Women Can Wear Men’s Fragrances
With a new season approaching, it’s not uncommon for women to put down their previously worn perfumes in favor of a fresh fragrance. And, now that autumn is almost here, ladies may be looking for a brand new scent.
Instead of shopping solely in the women’s department, however, why not dabble in the world’s of men’s fragrances? According to industry experts, the idea may not be that out-there.
“It’s like wearing your boyfriend’s shirt or his Rolex,” industry expert Frédéric Malle told Allure magazine. “The paradox is that it makes a woman more feminine.”
Designer (and perfumer) Tom Ford agrees. “Ultimately, choosing a scent is personal and primal, and should be decided not by gender, but by inhaling and asking, ‘Does it smell good to me? Does it smell good on me?'” he told the news source.
Women looking for a masculine fragrance have a plethora of options available to them, including scents from Tom Ford’s line, such as Grey Vetiver For Men Eau de Parfum Spray, which contains notes of grapefruit, sage and woods.
Ladies can also spritz on Armani Code For Men Eau de Toilette Spray before they head out the door. The fragrance boasts hints of citrus and olive tree blossom.
